Wellington Women’s Refuge – Annual Street Appeal

Wellington Women’s Refuge 2023 Annual Appeal is happening on the 28th of July 2023 – and we’ll be out collecting on the streets of Wellington!
We need your support to make it a success!

Want to get involved? Here’s how you can help…

DONATE

Not available on appeal day? No worries! You can donate here.

We provide services to women and children in the Wellington community. Our services are confidential and we support women whether they choose to leave or stay in a relationship.

WORKPLACE COLLECTIONS

Too busy to leave your workplace? We can give you a collection bucket so your colleagues can donate without even having to leave their chairs! You can even go one step further and run a bake sale or raffle to get your workmates involved.

Just scroll down and fill out the form below to get started.

FUNDRAISERS

Are you part of an awesome local business, club, or organisation? Do you want to run fundraisers during Appeal Week?

Just some ideas you might consider:

Film screenings; a mufti day at school or work; bake sale; pancake breakfast; second hand clothes sale; gig or theatre show; auction something cool on Trade Me; a special themed fundraiser dish or drink at your restaurant or cafe; a pledge to WWR from your business.

We are excited to hear about your ideas, so get in touch by filling out the form below.

Your Details

Street Collectors

Volunteering will involve collecting donations with buckets and being a visible representative for WWR on the streets of Wellington. Across town we will have stalls set up as a "home base" where you will report to at the start/end of your shift and where you can go to get snacks! Part of being visible will be using your personal social media to post pics about your amazing work.

Please tick as many options as you like as we, unfortunately, may not be able to guarantee you the location you choose as your first choice.
